Strategic foresight workshop

Agenda of discussions: • What is strategic foresight and what is its relevance for research and European public policies? • Methods and tools for trend analysis, scenario development, and integrating foresight into strategies; • Topics of interest for developing foresight: economic growth, resilience to climate change and ecological transition; EU enlargement; demographics, migration and social cohesion; European governance, democracy and political fragmentation, etc.
A workshop that focused on describing the stages of strategic foresight, and for a deeper understanding of these, working groups were formed to analyze and discuss current trends, as well as emerging issues affecting the future of Europe.
